With different backgrounds and skills, we've come together to take
on the challenge of designing a supersonic rocket.
Take a moment to
learn more about us and what inspired each of us to join this project!
I am Emanuel Salinas, a senior at Northern Arizona University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on the aerospace and aeronautical sectors. I have gained valuable hands-on experience through the NASA L'SPACE Program, where I contributed to the design of efficient drones, and the NCAS Program, where I conducted research on ISRU (In-Situ Resource Utilization) techniques for space exploration. As the Project Manager for the NRG Two-Stage Electromagnetic Separation Supersonic Rocket, I am excited to apply the skills I develop to advance my career in aerospace and aeronautical engineering.
Mechanical Engineering Student I am pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, driven by a strong passion for problem-solving and designing innovative systems. My interest in the Northrop Grumman Capstone project stems from a personal connection to the company and from my passion towards aerospace. This project gives me the opportunity to apply my academic training to develop a high-powered, two-stage experimental rocket, while contributing to a company that has inspired me throughout my life. Additionally, my previous experience at Gore in precision engineering has equipped me with the skills needed to succeed in this challenging project.
My name is Robert Nimcheski and I am studying Mechanical Engineering. I took the route of Mechanical Engineering because I want to learn how machines and mechanisms work and operate. I am highly interested in the Northrop Grumman Supersonic Rocket Project because i have always taken interest in things that go fast and because i would possibly like to work in the defense contracting industry someday. My team and I are very excited to work on this project and get this rocket in the air!
I am a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. I chose this project because I find dynamics challenging and interesting. So my goal in the project is to be able to successfully model the rocket dynamics either through code or simulation. Also, to assist in a successful launch.
My name is Stonn Billy and I'm a mechanical engineer major. I am the chief manufacturing engineer for the 2 stage rocket.
I am a senior at NAU and will be graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Multidisciplinary Engineering and Emphasis in Design. Because I've interned at Raytheon Technologies, this opportunity drew my interest and felt like a great match for my skillset.
