The purpose of this project is to create a device that is able to identify the solar zenith and the solar azimuth angle

relative to the device. This information can be used to replace an accelerometer, maximize the efficiency in a solar

field, or tell the positioning of the device.


The team plans on accomplishing this using solar cells around a base. The solar cells will be able to pick up different

irradiance based on its direction relative to the sun. We will use an Arduino to process the data received from the

solar cells and out put the devices relative positioning to the sun.
