MATLAB Programming Language

Our project uses the MATLAB programming language for both front end and back end implementation for the following reasons:

• Advanced matrix operation support
• Binary and CSV file manipulation support
• Researcher knowledge of the software

MATLAB with WFDB

Our project uses MATLAB with the WFDB package since it provides a framework for the following:

• Different Fourier Transormations
• Wavelet Transformations
• Handling of header and annotation Physionet files

WEKA

We use the WEKA machine learning platform for:

• Feature Classification
• Feature Selection
• Accuracy Testing
• Alarm Decision Making
