What We're About
Formula SAE is a student-run project that involves designing, building, testing, and racing a small open wheel race car. This is NAU's third year of FSAE and we are excited to go compete!
Design
Lumberjack Racing is split into three subteams. Powertrain, Frame/Body/Areo, and Suspension/Brakes. The team is encouraged to learn and use new-to-them simulation software throughout the course of the design process.
Manufacture
Manufacturing is done both in-house and via outsourcing. Some of the major components made in the NAU machine shop include the frame, steering knuckles, engine and differential mounts, and major suspension components.
