We met with one of the electrical engineers and one of the test drivers. We got the chance to drive in the electrical vehicles and see how these people are using their tools to test and diagnose the vehicles. We saw that they need a device that will incorporate at least 3 diffeent tools that they are currently using and have to switch between every time they are analyzing different systems. We think that our design will be able to incorporate most if not all these facilities provided by the seperate devices. We showed them our menu system prototype and explained how the program will work in general. The engineer thought this was a good proof of concept. There were some changes to be made like the monitoring of more batteries but this will not change the overall program and will only add a few things to the system. We think these will only change our design a little and will result in changes in the requirements documentation. The changes dictated by the visit will not mean many changes in our program and only a few in our architecture. This was a valuable learning experience.
We went over the final transportation plans for the trip down to the proving grounds.
We are looking at finishing up the proposal and getting ready for the document review.
