Here is what was discussed:
- Ben - initial design of a text menu system.
- The learning curve of the emulator and associated protocals.
- Will this deal with RS232 without using the SCI protocal - Derek to
research.
- A review of the shortened project:
- program on an emulator an api and a text user interface that
- uses the J1850 network protocal.
- Needs to drive a keypad and 4 arrow keys or mouse which needs to be memory
mapped with a general interupt. Accessing ports for key depressions. Using a model simular to that used in Dr. Nevills 286 motor driving code.
- Problems with holding keys down for a period of time with repeating input
were discussed.
- Dave is going to be looking into researching and purchasing a LCD pannel.
- Dr. Mededi's note - everything needs to be written in C code using
chargraphics.
Everyone needs to browse through HC12 manuel to get an idea of instruction
sets and general chip design.
