BioSphere

As concerns rise around the topic of climate change, scientists have been working hard to further our understanding of the subject. Massive data sets, such as those from the GEDI sensor aboard the International Space Station, have proven to be difficult to access and interpret. This data can greatly further our understanding of climate change. Team BioSphere aims to help visualize these challenging data sets by creating a mobile application that displays them on a map. Forest ecologists and policy makers can use this information to better understand the environment and enact legislation that protects it. It’s everyone’s job to play a role in solving climate change, and this is our contribution. Additional information can be found under the “Project” tab.
