Project Description

The purpose of this project is to design and develop a CMU block to improve seismic response and increase ultimate compressive strain capacity. Due to distortion and energy dissipation, the ductility of concrete masonry is crucial in earthquake engineering because it will continue to deform without allowing a structure to reach ultimate failure or collapse.
